feeling blue

"You know those days when you've got the mean reds....the blues are because you're getting fat or maybe it's been raining too long. You're sad, that's all. But the mean reds are horrible. You're afraid and you sweat like hell, but you don't know what you're afraid of. Except something bad is going to happen, only you don't know what it is." ~Breakfast at Tiffany's, 1958, spoken by the character Holly Golightly

last night i had a classic case of the mean reds. i find that those days are usually followed by the blues.  maybe because we regret how we let our emotions get the most of us the night before. swirling around and around, as if they were the only emotions that mattered-causing wreckage in their wake. blue is just how i'm feeling now. it's grey outside and everything just looks static outside of my window. no birds chirping, no squirrels busy at work, not even the sound of traffic.

  1. i love the sparkly trend as well...except i'm terrified of buying anything because then it will probably go waaaay out of style soon and i will be the lame kid still wearing sparkly stuff when that was "so 2010"
    know what i'm saying??

  2. I Agree, the reds are nothing to mess with. Sorry that you are blue. Keep your head up kiddo. Sunny days are on the horizon!
