i think one of the most impressive things to me is when actors make complete transformations. (ex: natalie portman losing 20 lbs and training for 8 hours a day to transform herself into a ballerina and christian bale becoming cracked out and losing so much weight to transform himself into a drug addict). also, inception was one of those movies that just made me think, "who thinks of this stuff?? serious creativity and truly mind-boggling!" which is why i give it best original screenplay.
