procrastination 101.

well, i'm in the middle of finals madness. i will feel fried, procrastinate for an hour by watching crappy tv or looking at blogs, feel guilty about not studying, and then poor all of my energy into my outlines and drafting sample answers. oh finals, how i loathe thee. however, as a result of this (seemingly) never-ending cycle, i've come across this picture. it is whimsical and takes me to another place....don't you just love it? i can't wait to re-create it with C when i'm less stressed. :)

catching up.

thanksgiving was so wonderful. i was able to fly to washington and be with my family to enjoy turkey and mashed potatoes for the first time in years. Tiff came along and we had a lovely girls trip. it was sad to leave the boys at home though. Winston is getting so big and is learning new things every day. he can now climb up and down the stairs, and is pretty much house trained. 

also, the house is really coming together. C and i have picked out new bedding from West Elm, painted the wall in our bedroom and are planning on moving the living room around soon. 

things have been crazy though. i'm incredibly busy right now with holiday decorating, dog training, work and finals creeping right around the corner. i can't wait for the semester to be over! (although, it's scary getting closer and closer to graduation without having a job lined up....)

it's been a minute or two. (okay...like fourteen).

i know i know...it's been ages since my last post. and, i'm sorry!! but, don't you fret...i've got some real goodies to share with you today. and it is officially my first day of fall break, so i've got lots of time on my hands to dedicate to pure, unadulterated procrastination. hooray! (because, honestly...i have been so busy lately, i haven't even had time to dedicate to my all time favorite thing...procrastination!)

today is the first utes game of the year. 

i love football season. which is weird, because i always get bored at the games.

i just don't have the attention span, and i never understand what is going on.

but i love football season. because it reminds me that fall is just around the corner.

and that means cute layered clothes, boots, and colorful leaves.

don't get me wrong, i love summer. 

it's arguably my favorite season.

but there comes a time when i get sick and tired stepping outside and being covered in sweat.

i also really love living near the university.

there is such excitement and spirit all around me.

all of my friends are dressed head to toe in red. 

and i can hear the cheering fans if i open my windows.

last sunday, C and i took the dog for a midnight stroll around his neighborhood. we were looking at how beautiful the moon looked with the clouds mysteriously hanging about, when we got to talking about the space station. ever wonder what the interior of the space station looks like? well, i did. so...for your information and my curiosity:

in my opinion, they should really consider some wall decor, some throw pillows and perhaps a nice rug. what do you think?

i've been away.

sorry i've been away so long. the truth is, i've been BUSY! i started my new job, and LOVE it (even though no one likes to hear about it because it is pretty depressing and disturbing). when i'm not working, i've been sleeping (i've been doing a lot of that), or drinking wine and watching tv with C. tonight we're going to a red butte concert to see g.love & special sauce. i can't wait! and this weekend we're taking a little trip to st. george. i've never been, but i hear good things. we'll be celebrating a friend's birthday, so it should be fun no matter what. anyway, i promise to try and be better about updating this thing. (i'm sure i'll get back in the swing of things when school starts). in the meantime, enjoy this pretty picture i found on destined to design.
